SOS! Have I gone mad?

That being said I am a new sock knitter and only have one skein of sock yarn in my stash. I will allow myself to buy sock yarn if I find it at a fiber festival and it supports a local yarn producer but it must meet both of those criteria. However, I will not start a new project with yarn purchased during the challenge until my challenge projects are done. That's it. That is my excepetion. So stay tuned and watch as I knit up my cubes and lighten my load.
Wish me luck!

Love the stash pics. I have kinda made that promise to myself as well. I hope I can follow through with it.

What are the cones of yarn there on the bottom left? They look... intriguing. And all that kitchen cotton!

You only have ONE skein of sock yarn? Oh my.

Yeah. Wait 'til you start spinning.
And you're not talking me into giving you any more sock yarn. So there.
;o)

Ooh I applaude you and wish you lots of luck!! I am sure you can do it.
This sounds like a great idea, and I have plenty of yarn for full projects, but the PANIC is completely setting in just even thinking about doing this! The palms are even starting to get sweaty!
I love your organized stash!

It does look like you have a few things to draw upon there... I am not sure that SOS isn't just a little too structured for me, though I will make a commitment to finish up the projects and use the yarns I already have (and there certainly IS enough to keep me busy through the summer). My budget for Estes will be pretty tight, and there isn't all that much I am "looking for" so I just might manage even without signing up. I am with you on finding local yarn producers!

(((evil thoughts of taking up a collection of sock yarn for SWK)))
Ummmm... hmmmm... I can do nothing but shake my head in disapproval at this foolish and highhanded attempt to manage the earth-depleting consumerism that is our God given right in America today.
(;>) Beautiful stash. Maybe I should organize mine like that but what I found when I moved was that I really didn't have that much at all. I had two 8x11x5 metal tins full of sock yarn and one 12x24x12 plastic box worth of regular yarn. Maybe I should go get some more yarn myself. Just tell me what you *would* have bought this summer and I'll enhance my stash with it.

Best, best, best of luck. Resisting urge to quote Steinbeck here...

I love how neat you are with your yarns! I tried to keep my stash down by only having one small cubical of 6 but seems I need one more cubical. I was looking at my stash and realized it's the big balls of cheap yarn that take up so much room. Must use them up! I am using some of it now with my new project..except the Cashmere of course.LOL

I love your yarn storage set up. Makes me envious. I want a yarn space now. Wahhh.

I love your yarn organization. I feel inspired. And me? I'm a big bad thrower outer too. I just lurve getting rid of stuff we don't need. Which is one reason why this Summer of Stash is so good for me.
